Richard Lovett

Principal Underwriter

In Richard's 40 year long career he has held positions involving every aspect of the P&I world, giving Richard the edge over those with only single discipline market experience. He is well known within fixed P&I and its associated products. Additionally, Richard has significant experience and access to Marine Liability lines of business with client facing and placing responsibilities.

Richard can engage directly with those in these areas and his reputation has stood him in good stead when conversing with personnel of all ages, abilities, and cultures.

Richard holds himself accountable for his integrity and responsibility to back up his responses. Brokers must be able to approach him knowing they will receive honest feedback concerning any risk. With the knowledge, experience and contacts built up over his career, Brokers and Owners understand that in Richard they will be getting their risks considered by someone who understands their requirements and the market it is to be placed in.

Richard is one of the few remaining P&I Underwriters with direct experience of writing for profit in a hardening market.
